Intel Releases Final Firmware With TRIM Support

Now with certified TRIM support for G2 drives.

The new firmware update from Intel can be grabbed here and adds TRIM support for 2nd Generation solid state drives.
The TRIM Command enables solid state drives to maintain better performance when used to close to the full capacity and also make a more efficient use of the low number of erase cycles available in MLC NAND flash chips like the ones used in the X25-M G2(@Newegg). TRIM is, at present, only natively supported by Windows 7, although some tools may be available to restore peak performance after some use on other operating systems, depending on the manufacturer.
